Message to the Public
Our Anger, Danger of Collapse and the Power of Reform
My fellow citizens,
I hear your frustration, and I share your anger at the failures of our government to meet your needs. I understand why so many of you believe that our government is beyond reform—and with good reason. Everywhere you look, you see the signs of systemic failure: homeless individuals on every corner, over half a million people without a place to call home. Many of us live paycheck to paycheck, struggling just to pay rent and put food on the table. Our education system is falling behind, leaving generations ill-equipped to address the challenges of today.
We’re feeding our families poisoned food, filled with chemicals and additives, while corporations profit from our suffering. Families are dying because they’re denied healthcare, even as insurance companies rake in record-breaking profits. Judges take bribes from private equity firms to funnel children into for-profit prisons. Private prisons, in turn, sue states for not meeting inmate quotas—treating human lives as commodities.
Small businesses—the heart of our communities—are being squeezed out by corporate conglomerates. Teachers, who shape the minds of our future leaders, are barely making enough to survive. Parents are forced to work long hours, rarely seeing their children, just to scrape by. Meanwhile, law enforcement has too often resorted to shooting first and asking questions later. If you’re not experiencing these struggles yourself, I guarantee someone you know, or love is.
I hear your frustration, and I share your anger at the failures of our government to meet your needs. But I must caution you: the collapse of our government will not bring the freedom or justice we all seek. It will bring something far worse— unchecked corporate control over every aspect of our lives.
The rise of private equity giants like Vanguard and BlackRock is already a warning sign. They buy up our homes, drive up rents, and prioritize profits over people. Imagine a world where these corporations hold all the power, with no government to hold them accountable. You will own nothing, and you will not like it.
But we have a choice. We can fight not to destroy, but to rebuild. To reform our government so it works for the people, not just the powerful. Together, we can:
- Break the stranglehold of corporations and private equity firms on our economy.
- Enforce antitrust laws, prohibit cross-ownership and close corporate tax loopholes to reduce their outsized influence.
- Protect our homes, our jobs, and our rights from exploitation.
- Implement fair housing policies and prevent mass property buyouts by private equity firms.
- Build a government that listens, cares, and serves every citizen.
- Strengthen transparency and public oversight to ensure accountability in every institution.
Every single one of these issues—every struggle, every heartbreak—stems from the same root cause: the failure of our government to protect us from unchecked corporate control. Everything has been reduced to profits and the bottom line, leaving the people to fend for themselves. And now, there are calls to privatize even more of our institutions.
Ask yourself: If the same corporations and private equity firms that have made life so difficult for so many are given control, do you believe they will create an easier life for you? Will they nurture innovation and compassion, or will they continue to squeeze every last penny from our lives?
Our education system, for example, desperately needs an overhaul—but privatization is not the answer. The same forces that profit from wage suppression, poisoned food, and denial of healthcare will not design a system to uplift and empower us. They will create a system that serves their interests, not yours.
The United States has a complex and difficult history, but we’ve come so far from the dangers of the past. We cannot allow corporate control to erase the progress we’ve made. Instead, we must demand more from our government. We must demand a system that works for us, protects us, and ensures a future where every American can thrive.
This is not the end of the road; it’s the beginning of a movement. Together, we can create a government that prioritizes people over profits, protects the vulnerable, and ensures prosperity for all. Change is within our reach, but it requires each of us to step forward.
Be Vigilant: Areas at Risk of Privatization and Corporate Control As we move forward, we must keep a watchful eye on efforts to privatize or corporatize essential institutions and services. Here are key areas to remain vigilant:
- Education
- Efforts to privatize public schools or redirect funding to for-profit institutions, undermining equitable access and quality. They will present this as an amazing opportunity, but it will lead to our demise and tax dollars funneled to them.
- Healthcare
- Increased privatization of healthcare systems and insurance, leading to higher costs and reduced care quality.
- Housing
- Corporate buyouts of residential properties, driving up rents and making homeownership unattainable for many. You will own nothing and hate it!
- Public Utilities
- Attempts to privatize water, energy, and transportation systems, leading to higher costs and limited access for vulnerable populations.
- Prisons and Detention Centers
- Expansion of for-profit prisons and detention centers with incentives to maximize occupancy at the expense of human dignity.
- Social Security and Pensions
- Proposals to privatize Social Security or pension systems, risking retirement security for millions.
- Infrastructure
- Allowing private companies to control roads, bridges, and public transportation, prioritizing profits over public safety and affordability.
- Defense and National Security
- Overreliance on private contractors, reducing government oversight in critical areas of security and defense.
- Food and Agriculture
- Corporate dominance in food production, leading to unsafe practices, reduced nutritional standards, and harm to family farms.
- Environmental Protection
- Deregulation and privatization of public lands, parks, and resources, risking irreversible environmental damage.
11. Government Collapse
o DO NOT ALLOW VANGUARD, BLACKROCK, CORPORATIONS, CHURCHES, NONPROFITS OR ANY PRIVATE EQUITY FIRM TO TAKE CONTROL. CITIZENS MUST COME TOGETHER
- In the event of a government collapse, these entities must not be allowed to monopolize essential institutions and services. Public accountability and collective oversight are critical to ensuring fairness and equity.
Join us in demanding the reforms we need. Write to your representatives, speak out in your communities, and push for policies that put people first. Together, we can rise, rebuild, and reclaim the American Dream.
